Charging out of Chicago's jazz scene, Dave Gordon Quintet unleashes 12 new pieces, setting moods that range from lyrical dream to swinging swagger. Ears Have It includes select songs from the pens of leader and pianist Dave Gordon, saxophonist Brian Gephart and bass trumpeter Jack Gallagher. Covering a wide stretch of jazz territory, the arrangements provide ample space and balance that allows these musicians to show how much fun it is to create energized, challenging new music in classic forms. The band rounds out with bassist Brian Sandstrom and drummer Dushun Mosley.
